Bas Wiegers, who has stood out with his charisma and openness, has been a conductor at several European orchestras, including the Residentie Orkest in The Hague, the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, WDR Symphony Orchestra Cologne, and others. He first conducted for ENSO in spring 2017 in Cologne, when the works by Pärt and Ustvolskaya were performed at the Acht Brücken festival.

Mari Poll.

One of the most famous works of Bartók, Concerto for Orchestra, was written in America for the Boston Symphony Orchestra. The unique genres that it has been described with refer to the numerous solo passages, allowing both single instruments and whole groups of instruments to shine.

Mari Poll, the successful international soloist who has won several awards at various competitions, will solo with Beethoven’s Violin Concerto. Currently, Poll is the principal violin at the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra. Often, she performs with her brother, pianist Mihkel Poll. Their first album as a duo was released in 2017 and was nominated for the Classical Album of the Year award.
