Marko Ylönen is one of the most outstanding Finnish cellists who performs as a soloist with the best orchestras in Finland, he has also performed in other European countries, Australia, New Zealand and the US. Besides touring in the world, he works as the professor of cello and chamber music at the Sibelius Academy in Finland. In 1992, he performed with ERSO and the Estonian musicians Arvo Leibur and Peep Lassmann, presenting the Triple Concerto by Beethoven.
Hannu Lintu is performing with ERSO for the first time. Besides working as a conductor of symphonic repertoire, he has also been actively involved in performing operas in the Finnish National Opera and elsewhere. In autumn of 2004, he conducted in Tallinn the concert performance of Tauno Pylkkänen’s opera Mare and Her Son as a joint project of the Estonian National Opera and Finnish National Opera and in 2005 he recorded it for Ondine.
