ERSO will start its season 2008/2009 with a top violin player Sarah Chang from the USA. She is regarded as one of the most remarkable violin players and superstars of classical music of the world. As a Korean wonderchild in the USA, Sarah Chang gave her first concert performance with the New York Philharmonic already at the age of 8 and now the list of the most renowned orchestras and musicians she has collaborated with is impressive. She has been awarded several prizes, one of them being Avery Fisher Grand Prize (1999) which is one of the most prestigious awards given to instrumentalists. Sarah Chang is the youngest artist to receive this award. In addition to this Chang was named as one of the Twenty Top Women on Leadership in 2006 when she was just 27 years old.
