Joyce Yang, a talented young pianist born in South Korea, began her flight to stardom in 2005 by winning the silver medal at the prestigious Van Cliburn International Piano Competition where, at nineteen, she was the youngest participant ever. Joyce Yang entered the prestigious Juillard School in the US at the age of 11, and by now she has appeared with the best American and European orchestras and conductors. She is admired for her amazing virtuosity, which will definitely be required for playing Rakhmaninov’s Piano Concerto No 2.
Joyce Yang will be the soloist at ERSO’s forthcoming tour of the United States.
