Barnabás Kelemen, soloist at our End of the Season Concert, has attracted attention as an artist of ’innate musicality’ with a technical execution that belongs ’only to the greatest’ (The Guardian). The Hungarian violinist who has won several competitions and record prizes has appeared with major European orchestras conducted by Lorin Maazel, Sir Neville Marriner, Peter Eötvös, Ivan Fischer, etc. Since 2005 he has been a professor at Franz Liszt Music Academy in Budapest and a guest professor at Indiana University in Bloomington. Barnabás Kelemen will play on a Guarneri del Gesú violin made in 1742.
