Arias, duets and overtures from popular Russian operas

Estonian National Symphony Orchestra

This time, ERSO’s traditional opera gala is dedicated to Russian music.

In addition to her excellent vocal abilities, the distinctive features of the Azerbaijani singer Dinara Aliyeva are her charming sincerity, frantic energy and freedom on stage. In spring 2009, Puccini’s opera Turandot marked the beginning of her cooperation with the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, and from the current season she is a full-time soloist at the theatre. “A soprano with a beautiful and resonant voice and vivid theatrical charisma made her debut in the role of Liù. Her debut at the Bolshoi proved that, despite her youth, the singer can already be called a world-class opera star.” (РБК-daily, April 27, 2009)

Baritone Roman Burdenko has been a soloist at St. Petersburg
Mikhailovsky Theatre since 2006. His repertoire includes, e.g., the roles of Robert, Eletsky (Iolanta and The Queen of Spades by Tchaikovsky), Germont (La Traviata by Verdi), Valentin (Faust by Gounoud), etc.
