Pärt’s music is genuine and direct, it touches one’s heart that is often neglected by people and unknown to them or not looked into because of fear. His music is simple, his musical thought cleansed from unnecessary (“silence is the best music”), every note sincere – listener feels its closeness and familiarity. It is music that knows no boundaries, it is for a person with an open heart.

The American Directory of the Performing Arts Musical America has recently named Arvo Pärt as the Composer of the Year. Arvo Pärt together with the Chinese composer Tan Dun who lives in the USA is the only non-American composer who has earned such a title. The website of Universal Edition informs us that there is a concert where Arvo Pärt’s music is performed almost every day. His music is performed all over the world.
At the concert one will hear Arvo Pärt’s famous pieces “Credo” and “Pro et contra” and his new creation.
