The main protagonist for Eesti Kontsert’s concert series “Golden Classics” is Ludwig van Beethoven – a luminary whose works bridge Classicism and Romanticism. “If there is genius, it is irrelevant if it manifests itself in the depths as with Bach, in the heights as with Mozart, or in the heights and depths as with Beethoven.” (Robert Schumann).

RuubelTriinThe soloist is Triin Ruubel, a talented and renowned Estonian violinist of the younger generation, who has received a warm welcome from audiences and the approval of her colleagues during her first year as the leader of ENSO. Elgar’s Violin Concerto, dedicated to the violin virtuoso Fritz Kreisler, was written in the early 20th century and is one of the most beloved violin concertos.
