Conductor NEEME JÄRVI

“I have a long-standing relationship with Neeme Järvi. In another life, I had invited him to make his “debut” with the Orchestre de la Suisse romande in the early 90s, then I saw him regularly conducting in Paris, most recently with the Orchestre National de France. I have a huge admiration for him, his great discography, especially with the Estonian National Orchestra. I was therefore particularly keen for Neeme Järvi and his orchestra to open the 35th edition of the Festival Radio France Occitanie Montpellier, which explores Baltic music, which has been very dear to me for a long time.”
Jean-Pierre Rousseau
Artistic Director of the Festival and Programme Manager of Radio France

The Radio France Occitanie Montpellier Festival will take place from July 10 to 26 and will be dedicated to nordic music. It offers an eclectic and daring musical programming with more than 175 events. Originally presented as a classical music festival, it has consistently stood out from the crowd by expanding its offer to include all kinds of music: opera, symphony, jazz, electronic music and world music, as well as conferences, magazines and master-classes.
