Conductor NEEME JÄRVI
An excellent choice for the lovers of classical symphonies – the spotlight is on the Viennese classics Mozart and Beethoven, introduced by a sublime aria from Bach’s Orchestral Suite No. 3.
The concert’s soloist is Signe Sõmer, first clarinet, who acquired her Master’s Degree in Colburn Conservatory, Los Angeles after graduating from the Sibelius Academy. The clarinettist, who actively plays in several orchestras and chamber ensembles, has been acknowledged at Estonian as well as international competitions.
One of the most significant clarinet pieces and without a doubt the most-performed clarinet concerto in the world – Mozart’s last instrumental concerto, written just months before his death – will be performed.
