About Nikolai Alexeev: After completing the St. Petersburg Conservatory (under the guidance of Arvid and Maris Jansons), Nikolai Alexeev worked with the Maria Theatre in St. Petersburg, and as conductor of the Ulyanovsk Philharmonic Orchestra and the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra. He has directed the leading symphony orchestras in Moscow as well as in St. Petersburg, and has given concerts in Europe, the United States and Japan.
